Ocean Life Nautical Theme Bullet Journal

We’ve all been there, buying a new planner every year swearing that we’re going to use it and make it work.  This is the year we will be more organized. And it’s great for a couple weeks and then just like that it gets left in the drawer not be seen again for years.

I want my life more together than it is.

My ever growning to-do list shows that I’m ambitious, but I’m very bad at following through on ideas. I’ll create a list in my head of all the things I want to get done and then as soon as I get home that list evaporates into thin air and I forgot what the heck I was going to do.

So this year I’m trying a new approach with bullet journaling. I’ve creating something super customizable so I have only the things that I find useful. I’m able to make it a little bit different and add art and doodles and inspirational quotes to my journal for all the new pages so I don’t get bored.

You don’t have to be an artist.

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no artist, but I’m OK I tracing things or copying simple art doodles. I enjoy creating little art things and I’m only slightly embarrassed to be sharing it with all of it with you.

This week I created a blue ocean life themed weekly spread.  I used some doodling ideas that I found on pinterest. I also used some stamps to fill out my spread with easy art.

For my weekly calendar on the right hand side I keep any appointments that I have scheduled for the week including anything I need to get done at home.

On the left side of my weekly calendar I use this for a short to do list of thing I want to accomplish that week.

Weekly goals are key.

This week I really wanted to track what I’ve been drinking.  I really want to drink more water and hope that this tracker will help me with that goal.

I kept my normal daily habits that I want to track for the week and added some doodles to make it more fun.

My bullet journal will help me get the important things done. By continuing to experiment with different layouts, I’m able to track different things each week..

Find Inspiration in each new week!

I am a big believer in the power of a clean slate. Each week is a new chance for me to accomplish my goals! This was the first time I incorporated an inspirational quote in my bullet journal. I chose to go with a quote by Albert Einstein, “Look deep into nature, you will understand everything better.”

This quote felt inspired by nature. Just like this spread!

I hope you are enjoying these type of posts as much as I am making them. Follow me on Pinterest and start pinning for your own inspiration!
